A visible request marker
A requester can mark that they are a Holocaust survivor. When selected, the marker appears prominently on the request card and details.
What the marker means
The marker is self-declared by the requester. DirectAid explicitly does not present it as government verification.
Help the need the person described
DirectAid is person-to-person. Donors read a specific request and decide whether and how to help rather than paying into a general DirectAid donation pool.
Respect and privacy
Wanting to help does not require requesting sensitive personal documents. Focus on the published need and use only the level of information necessary for your decision.
Donate without an account
The basic donation flow for a public request does not require sign-up. A donor account is optional for chat, video and history.
